Since its inception in 1998, IBDD has taken up the goal of being a different organization. IBDD's Work Main Charactheristics
IBDD’s work has parallel and complementing twofold dimensions tailored to society’s awareness raising process and participation in the construction of a new reality for the people with disabilities.
Conjunctural Dimension Actions focused on the individuals with disabilities, such as: job placement, readiness for work training, lawsuits to secure violated or threatened rights, and sport activities as a tool for physical and social rehabilitation.
Structural Dimension Actions focused on and for society aiming at shedding a light on excluding practices, contributing to the development of new social policies, and building a new social construct of disability that contemplates its qualities of strength, movement and beauty.
